The earthTV web-camera set at the 5-stars InterContinental Hotel in the Hungarian capital Budapest shows panoramic views over the Danube, Chain Bridge, Elisabeth Bridge, the quarter Buda with Buda Castle and Fishermen's Bastion, cafes and restaurants.

The Chain Bridge was the first permanent stone-bridge connecting Pest and Buda, and only the second permanent crossing on the whole length of the river Danube. It is one of the symbolic buildings of Budapest, the most widely known bridge of the Hungarian capital.

Elizabeth Bridge, named after Queen Elizabeth, the spouse of Francis Joseph I, with only one 290-meter span stretching over the Danube, built in eclectic style, was known as the longest suspension bridge of the world. The Elizabeth Bridge is the only Danube bridge in Budapest that would not be rebuilt after the devastations of World War II. Instead, a completely new bridge was built between 1960 and 1964, nearly two decades after the destruction of the original Elizabeth Bridge.
